Last Updated: October 28, 2026

Welcome to Salt & Light Arts Academy!

These Terms of Service, Enrollment & Privacy Policy explain the conditions of using our website, registering for our educational programs, and participating in our classes and activities.

Salt & Light Arts Academy is owned and operated by Salt & Light Arts Academy, LLC, a Colorado limited liability company doing business as Salt & Light Arts Academy.

By registering for our programs, purchasing enrollment, or using our website, you acknowledge these Terms. Parents or legal guardians enrolling a child agree to the applicable enrollment terms on behalf of their family.

Please read these Terms carefully. If you have questions, we welcome you to contact us at saltandlightartsacademy@gmail.com.

Part I: Terms of Service & Enrollment

1. Definitions

When we say "Salt & Light," "the Academy," "we," "us," or "our," we mean Salt & Light Arts Academy, LLC, doing business as Salt & Light Arts Academy.

When we say "you," "parent," or "guardian," we mean the parent or legal guardian responsible for a student's enrollment.

When we say "student," we mean a child enrolled in one of our educational programs.

When we say "program" or "term," we mean the educational classes, activities, and experiences offered by Salt & Light Arts Academy during a designated enrollment period.

2. About Our Programs

Salt & Light Arts Academy is an independently operated Christian homeschool arts and humanities enrichment program serving families in Castle Rock, Colorado, and surrounding communities.

Our programs bring together Christian faith, academic enrichment, and artistic instruction in subjects such as literature, writing, visual arts, music, and theater.

Our instruction is inspired by classical Christian and Charlotte Mason educational traditions and rooted in the historic Christian faith. Families from a variety of Christian denominations and traditions are welcome.

By enrolling, parents acknowledge that Christian Scripture, prayer, and faith-based perspectives are incorporated into our educational programs.

Salt & Light provides supplemental educational enrichment for homeschool students. Parents and guardians remain responsible for their children's overall homeschool education and compliance with applicable home education requirements.

Program descriptions, schedules, age ranges, tuition, and other details are published on our website and may vary by term.

3. Enrollment & Registration

Enrollment is completed through our website or another registration method authorized by Salt & Light Arts Academy.

Parents or legal guardians are responsible for providing complete and accurate registration information, including student names, ages or grade levels, emergency contacts, and any additional information reasonably necessary for participation.

Enrollment is subject to available space and confirmation by the Academy.

Parents may be asked to complete additional forms before their child's first class, including emergency contact information, health and allergy information, authorized pickup information, and appropriate participation agreements.

Students must meet the published age and enrollment requirements for their particular program unless an exception has been approved by the Academy.

For our Winter/Spring 2027 term, enrollment includes the entire Friday morning program rather than individual classes.

4. Tuition & Payment Options

Tuition is listed on our website and is subject to change for future enrollment periods. The tuition rate confirmed at registration applies to that student's enrolled term.

Winter/Spring 2027 Tuition

  • Early Bird Tuition: $375 per student for registrations completed by December 15, 2026.

  • Regular Tuition: $415 per student for registrations completed after December 15, 2026.

  • Sibling Discount: Additional siblings enrolled from the same family receive a 10% discount on their individual tuition.

Families may choose to pay tuition in full at registration or use an available payment plan.

Payment Plans

When selecting the payment plan option, 20% of the total tuition is due at registration, with the remaining balance divided into three monthly installments.

The initial payment is applied toward tuition and is not an additional registration fee.

Payment plan dates and amounts will be displayed during checkout. By selecting a payment plan, you authorize the payment processor to charge your chosen payment method according to the displayed schedule.

If an installment payment fails, you may receive a notification requesting updated payment information. Unresolved balances may affect continued enrollment after reasonable notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

All outstanding tuition remains subject to the cancellation and refund terms below.

Tuition includes participation in the classes and end-of-term showcase described in the enrollment offering. There is no additional student participation fee for the Winter/Spring 2027 showcase.

5. Withdrawals, Cancellations & Refunds

We understand that family circumstances and plans can change. However, enrollment reserves a limited space in our program and helps us plan for instructors, supplies, facilities, and performances.

Proposed Family Withdrawal Policy

If a family withdraws a student:

  • On or before December 15, 2026: Tuition payments already made will be refunded in full.

  • December 16, 2026 to January 14, 2027: Tuition payments will be refunded, less a $50 administrative cancellation charge per student.

  • Beginning January 15, 2027: Tuition is generally nonrefundable for voluntary withdrawals, and remaining payment-plan obligations continue unless otherwise agreed in writing.

We recognize that unexpected medical circumstances and family emergencies can arise and may review exceptional situations individually.

If the final class location or another material program detail differs significantly from the information provided at enrollment, families will have an opportunity to withdraw and request a full refund within a reasonable period after receiving notice of the change.

Academy Cancellations

If Salt & Light Arts Academy must cancel an entire term before classes begin, families will receive a full refund of tuition paid.

If the Academy must discontinue a term after classes have begun, families will receive an appropriate prorated refund for classes that cannot be provided.

Nothing in this policy limits refund rights provided by applicable law.

6. Attendance, Absences & Weather Closures

Students are encouraged to attend regularly so they can fully participate in instruction, collaborative projects, and theatrical rehearsals.

Parents should notify the Academy when their child will be absent whenever reasonably possible.

Tuition is not prorated for individual student absences, vacations, or missed classes.

Salt & Light generally follows Douglas County School District weather-related closures when conditions make travel unsafe. We will communicate cancellations or schedule changes to enrolled families as soon as reasonably possible.

If the Academy cancels a scheduled class, we will make reasonable efforts to offer a makeup class or an appropriate alternative. If a class cannot be provided or reasonably rescheduled, we will provide an appropriate credit or refund for the affected instruction.

Our Winter/Spring 2027 term will observe Douglas County School District's spring break on March 19, 2027. Good Friday, March 26, will be a special Holy Week enrichment morning, with optional attendance.

7. Student Supervision, Safety & Parent Responsibilities

Salt & Light Arts Academy is designed as a drop-off enrichment program.

Students will be supervised during scheduled instructional hours according to the Academy's established safety and supervision procedures.

Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring students arrive and are picked up at the designated times and for notifying the Academy of any changes to authorized pickup arrangements.

Parents must provide current emergency contact information and disclose relevant allergies, medical concerns, or other information reasonably necessary to help us provide appropriate care and supervision.

Students may participate in classroom art activities, movement exercises, theater rehearsals, and other age-appropriate educational experiences.

Some activities involve ordinary physical risks. The Academy will take reasonable precautions to provide a safe learning environment.

Parents may be required to complete a separate participation agreement, emergency medical authorization, and acknowledgment of activity-related risks before their child's first class.

Community Lunch

Our optional community lunch is an opportunity for enrolled students, parents, and siblings to enjoy fellowship together.

Families are responsible for bringing their own lunches. Parents or authorized caregivers are responsible for supervising non-enrolled siblings during lunch.

Further lunch supervision and pickup procedures will be communicated to enrolled families.

8. Student Conduct & Community Expectations

Salt & Light Arts Academy strives to cultivate a welcoming Christian community characterized by kindness, respect, responsibility, and consideration for others.

Students are expected to treat instructors, classmates, facilities, and materials with care and respect.

Bullying, harassment, threatening behavior, and conduct that jeopardizes the safety of others will not be permitted.

When behavioral challenges arise, we will seek to communicate with parents and respond in a fair, age-appropriate manner.

The Academy reserves the right to suspend or discontinue a student's participation when persistent or serious behavior creates a safety concern or substantially disrupts the learning environment.

Whenever reasonably possible, we will communicate concerns with families before taking such action. Any financial consequences will be determined according to the enrollment agreement and applicable law.

9. Theater Productions, Performances & Student Work

Salt & Light Arts Academy may conclude its educational terms with theatrical performances, art exhibitions, writing presentations, or other student showcases.

Participation in these experiences is intended to celebrate learning, encourage artistic growth, and develop confidence and collaboration.

Performance roles, casting decisions, rehearsal arrangements, and production details are determined by the Academy based on the needs of the production, student abilities, enrollment, and educational considerations.

Enrollment does not guarantee any particular speaking role, solo, amount of stage time, or casting assignment.

Some students may be asked to attend additional rehearsals or practice at home when accepting demanding performance roles.

Production titles, formats, venues, and performance dates may be subject to change based on enrollment, facility availability, licensing permissions, and other practical considerations.

Student artwork and writing may be displayed at Academy showcases with appropriate parent or guardian permission.

10. Photography, Video & Media Permissions

From time to time, we may wish to photograph or record classroom activities, student artwork, performances, or other Academy events.

We respect families' preferences regarding their children's privacy.

Parents or legal guardians will be given the opportunity to provide or decline permission for their child's identifiable image, voice, or work to be used in promotional materials, on our website, on social media, or in other public communications.

We will not treat enrollment itself as permission for public promotional use.

Separate permissions may also be necessary for recording or distributing theatrical productions, particularly when performances involve copyrighted material licensed from third parties.

11. Educational Materials & Intellectual Property

Original curriculum, written materials, illustrations, designs, photographs, and other content created by Salt & Light Arts Academy are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Families may use Academy materials provided to them for their own student's personal educational purposes.

Materials may not be reproduced for commercial use, sold, redistributed, or publicly posted without permission unless otherwise authorized.

Books, theatrical scripts, music, illustrations, and other works belonging to third parties remain the property of their respective copyright holders and may be subject to separate licensing restrictions.

Students retain ownership of their original artwork and writing, subject to any applicable rights in materials incorporated into their projects.

12. Changes to Programs & Services

Salt & Light Arts Academy may make reasonable adjustments to class schedules, instructors, educational activities, facilities, or programming when necessary.

We will communicate material changes to enrolled families as promptly as reasonably possible.

If a material change substantially affects the program a family purchased, we will provide appropriate options consistent with the refund policy and applicable law.

We may update these Terms for future registrations. Material changes to the terms governing an already confirmed enrollment will not apply retroactively without an appropriate legal basis or agreement.

13. Website Use & Third-Party Services

Our website is provided to help families learn about Salt & Light Arts Academy, communicate with us, and register for our educational programs.

We may use third-party services for website hosting, enrollment, payment processing, email communications, and administrative operations.

Our website may also include links to outside educational resources, books, theaters, churches, or other organizations.

We are not responsible for the content, security practices, or policies of websites operated by third parties.

14. Liability & Applicable Law

Salt & Light Arts Academy seeks to provide a safe, responsible, and well-organized educational environment.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive rights or limit liability in a manner prohibited by applicable law.

Any separate assumption-of-risk or liability-release agreement will be provided for review as part of the enrollment process where appropriate.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, and disputes will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
